I was a part of the organizing committee In FS CUP. It was an event in which different schools were invited and they compete in different sports. Being a part of the organizing committee I and my peers needed to make a lot of arrangements which helped in making the event successful.
LO1-Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth
I was one of the eldest members in the organizing committee. The organizers asked to me guide the young ones. One of my strengths is I am good at talking to people so it was quite easy for me to guide them and work with them.
LO3-Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience
Organizing such a big event needed a proper plan, As a part of the organizing committee, The organisers, the members and I needed to have a great plan for the success of the event. Hence, we started with the planning. There were a lot of things that we needed to plan. Firstly, We needed the bus routes and the timing of the routes followed by the timing of the events adding to it we had to decide the menu also we had to make coupons for bananas and lemonade it was a hectic job but because of the plan that we created helped us to do everything in time.
LO5 - Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively
It was a bit difficult to work as a team because everyone had different ideas but we as a team discussed and voted out the best options. We did a pretty great job working together, also being able to work with others helped me to learn a lot of things and to make new friends.
Conclusion
Overall, it was a great experience. I would really like to do it again. I learned a lot of things such as teamwork, how it is being a leader and being a risk taker.
