Global Odyssey was an event that was held in fountainhead school. This event was a combination of BM-Economics students. This event has different areas of interest like food, fashion, entertainment, and fun. I was the leader of the fun group and had to decide the games to keep in Global Odyssey.  Half the money we collected was donated to an organization and the rest we shared the profits with our members. This platform has provided me to showcase my talent and manage my team members. This event has helped me improve my skills and helped me to become a proactive leader. I achieved  LO1, LO2, LO3, LO4, LO5, LO6, LO7.

LO1, LO2

I  found it difficult to manage my team members as they were not serious about the project and made it difficult to handle them and made them work properly. I had difficulties communicating with my team leader and had some internal issues with them and to overcome that, I have to change my habits and ego to work with my team leader properly. I also find it difficult to create games and paint them as I am weak in arts and visual thinking. So I worked collaboratively with my team leaders and members and made it possible to create games and paint them properly. I am proud of myself as I am good at providing work of best interest to team members. I was proactive to complete each task in time and listen to my leaders properly. I handle all the situations properly without getting any harm to our team members and customers are satisfied with the games. I had not done this type of event before and this event made me identify my weakness and strength and how to overcome the weakness.

LO3

As there are many members of our team, so we divided work and had to come early and do their respective work. It was hard to manage them because they were not following the instruction properly and were lagging behind time. On the day of the event, I handled all the problems and my team was following the rules properly and were satisfying the customer.

LO4

As we have to design the game and decorate the game properly, so for this we need the commitment to do the work on time. As we divided team members into 2 groups and the alternative day they were coming early and giving their best but in the end something was left. Waking up early was a big commitment according to me. On the day of the event, I was committed and was following my leadership role properly.

LO5

It was easy to work collaboratively with others because it made work easy and to work fast in less time. So as we have created and designed 6-7 games that made us easy to do. Working with others has helped us to gain more skills like communication and know about others more like weakness, strength, like and dislike of others.

LO6

In our fun games, we have made sure that we don’t use any material that can harm our society, for example, plastic and fire. We have created games that are eco friendly and can not harm our society. By avoiding the use of fire and plastic has helped us to gain more customers and trust in society.

LO7

As a group, we made sure that we don’t use any unethical decisions that could harm our audience. There were ethical issues like price-discrimination, low-quality products, and false marketing. These things were strictly not allowed in our group and this issue made me feel like a real-life business scenario.

In conclusion, I have gone through many learner-profiles which makes me a good leader. Thinker asks how to create and design the games which can be attractive to customers. Communicator as I was able to communicate with my team-mates and make them understand well directly. This project has helped me improve my leadership role and be responsible. This event was fun.
