Our school conducted service sessions/community service on weekends for underprivileged children wherein we taught them activities such as arts and crafts, sports, dance etc.
Learning outcome 4: Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences
My attendance for all the service sessions were 100% and I did not miss any sessions since I wanted to help the children make the most out of this
Learning outcome 5: Demonstrate the skills and recognise the benefits of working collaboratively
I have always been good at arts and crafts, so I could demonstrate my skills very effectively. there were a lot of children who visited the school so it was necessary to have a group to work with them, without group work, it would have been chaotic and not fruitful for the children since half the time would have been invested in handling such a huge crowd
Learning outcome 6: Demonstrate engagement with issues of global significance
Keeping in mind the sustainable development goals such as Quality education, Reduced inequalities etc. I believe these sessions really helped us reflect on issues of underprivileged children all around the world and were happy to make a contribution to a very little part of our city.
