Helping those in need, is something I have been keen to do every time I get a chance. One of the most important reasons for volunteering for the Community Service 2019. We had underprivileged children from all over the city (mainly from the areas near the school) to come together and learn something new everyday. I had selected the activity, art and craft. We were assigned one particular object or thing to be made everyday. All these years we have been discussing about the problem of lack of opportunities for underprivileged children to explore various different extracurricular activities, but today as a school, we tried to take one small step to bring a smile on their face and help them learn something from each session. 

Each day positive and vibrant vibes were spread. From struggling to cut the cardboard to build up a pen stand with ice cream sticks, as a team we have adhered to our goal of making the underprivileged kids feel happy. I had to come out of my comfort zone and make the kids comfortable with me. It required a lot of effort from both sides to become comfortable. I made a commitment for the service and did the needful to achieve the aim. 

The limitations and problems I faced were mainly due to lack of creativity skills. A lot of times I was not able to figure out, how to make the object by the resources provided. I was not aware of the technicality of the process of making a few objects, and therefore, I was finding it difficult to create a well structured object. This also led to wastage of time plus it sometimes created a boring environment for the kids as I ended up using more time in figuring out how to proceed than interacting with them. However, I salute to their creativity and efforts, they kept me amazed with the trust that they had on me and the friend that they had found in me, whom they have just met a few hours ago.
