Cas Profile
Hi! My name is Aashvi Shah, currently studying in 12th grade at Fountainhead School, Surat and trying to survive IB! Out of all the good sayings, my personal favourite, which I always believe and follow is, staying positive. I feel staying positive really helps us eradicate negativity from our lives.
My area of talents are dancing and sports. I have been learning dance since childhood. I feel dancing helps me lighten my mood and bring positivity in my life. It also helps me pass my time which I would have otherwise spent on damaging my eyes by binge watching a show. Well, that’s just an extra benefit that comes with dancing. Similarly, I feel sports has always been my forte. I have always been so excited about participating at sports day at school and for PS classes. My favourite games have to be badminton, basketball and athletics. I have been learning badminton for the past 6-7 years. Not only the excitement but my self-confidence has always helped me secure a good position in any sports competition.
Well there are a variety of things that I enjoy doing. From cycling to simply relaxing, I love it all! The lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic has helped me understand the importance of enjoying the present rather than worrying about what’s done or what’s going to happen. During the lockdown, I could allocate time to things that I absolutely love such as, cooking, cycling, dancing and of course, watching new web series!
My ideal outlook on life is a mixture of positivity and negativity. As Germany Kent said, ¨“Any day above ground is a good day. Before you complain about anything, be thankful for your life and the things that are still going well.” Being grateful for everything that I have in my life is the best outlook I could have had ever. Moreover, there are no bad or good people, it’s the circumstances which forces one to act in such a way.
Lastly, as a part of my future, I really wish to explore the field of psychology. I feel psychology is ¨why¨ behind a person’s behaviour, decisions and thoughts. Knowing why the person did/think/decided a particular thing is always something I have been interested in. Moreover, I believe that exploring the field of psychology will not only allow me to help others but, myself too. I think with more knowledge, I will be able to take care of myself more appropriately than I am able to right now hence, I would love to explore the field of psychology.
