I have always wanted to learn photoshop and quarantine gave me the perfect opportunity to learn it, I learned it through a course on Udemy, this allowed me to explore my creative side as well as utilize my time effectively. I learned various techniques and explored the app and project my creative skills in editing images. This course made me more knowledgeable and built my patience as it was an exhaustive course and demanded many hours and effort into it.
L1-Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth
As this was a self-paced course I had to make sure to identify where I lacked and try and resolve my doubts on my own. This forum also increased my communicative skills as I had to contact the teacher and other students to find answers in places I was struggling with for example I was unable to find a feature on my software so I talked to a few other students already taking the course and tried to figure out a solution.
L4-commitment to and perseverance,
This course required commitment to complete as it was a long, some days I felt like just leaving it but I continued to do it and completed the course. I did this course for about 1 month and completed the course by doing at least 1 hr every day. Moreover, this increased my patience a lot as making a good quality edit requires a lot of time and effort and I was very committed to completing this course and learning the most from it.
L7-Â Recognize and consider the ethics of choices and actions
The course required me to complete all video lessons as well as activities( editing certain images) to achieve a certificate, so I made sure I did every single one of them on my own and made sure I was deserving of the certificate.
Doing this course was a lot of fun, I loved experimenting with ideas and features to create unique images and this course gave me the perfect platform to do so and also develop skills in photoshop. The learned profile applicable here was a thinker as I had to think very creatively in creating my images and completing all assignments and knowledgeable as I learned a lot about image resolution and about technology in general.
