Monsoon Musings

A literary event where students, teachers, and parents share their poetry, where one is free to express themselves in any form and language, this also included Seva cafe where we served food to people and the fund raised was given to charity. I helped decorate and put forward the event on that day, and also served in Seva cafe.

Listening to people speak during the event evoked an interest in poetry and got to know a lot of stories about people. I became a better listener than I was, this event also taught me how to manage a situation well during the times of need as here we were short in time to decorate and make the venue look presentable.

L4-commitment to and perseverance- came early every day to make decorations

L5-. Demonstrate the skills and benefits of working collaboratively, – worked collaboratively by assigning work beforehand and helped others in their work.

L6-engagement with issues of global significance- as the money was donated to charity (missing girls)

The learner profile catered was communication as it was the key to managing and resolving issues during and before the event.

Secondly, thinkers as we focused on finding ideas that were suitable for the event and how they are supposed to look. Also, open-minded towards the presenter to listen to their point of view and look at their feelings.

This experience brought a sense of happiness in me as this event was very successful and fruitful.
