Farewell

A farewell is a student-led event held at our school every year which is organized by grade 11 for the graduating batch. We were given the opportunity to give our seniors goodbye and give them flashbacks of the memories that they’ve had in this school for over years. I was part of the decoration as well as the dance team. Activity, service and creativity strands were covered.

The learning outcomes that I achieved are:

LO 1: Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth.

Dancing is the kind of activity that I have never done in front of many people mostly due to my fear of being on the stage. Due to this event, I was able to remove my fear of being on the stage and hence getting out of my comfort zone.

LO 5:- Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively

As we worked cooperatively it made the occasion exceptional for our seniors. Filling in all in all evaluation helped us a great deal. This event would not have been possible without the whole grade participating in it which made the event more special for us and for our seniors. This helped us compose various things like food, games, entertainment, and decoration. In decoration, we were again separated by the work. This helped us to chip away at anything we desired to and at any rate we needed.

In the end taking farewell as my CAS experience has lead me to develop new skills and also taught me the importance of working together and collaboratively.
