Blog

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, people have been forced to take precautions. There are no vaccines yet so all we can do right now is to eat healthily and stay quarantined. Hence, I thought this might be a good time to start a blog and educate people about some diets they could try which will help them boost their immunity. A healthy immune system protects us by first creating a barrier that stops those invaders, or antigens, from entering the body. And if one slips by the barrier, the immune system produces white blood cells and other chemicals and proteins that attack and destroy these foreign substances. Therefore, having good immunity will increase your chances to not get infected by the coronavirus or recover from it if you are infected.

LO3: Initiate and plan a CAS experience-

I planned this CAS experience very spontaneously because things were not getting better due to the virus and I wanted to share some of the knowledge I had. I also think it would be easier to start a blog about anything else in the future due to this experience.

LO5: Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively-

Some of the information I mentioned in the blog was from my parents and other elders who knew things on the topic. I think getting to talk to them about the topic and learning from them helped me write the blog more effectively.

LO6: Engagement with issues of global significance-

As the coronavirus has affected countries globally and has become a pandemic, I wanted to help people get to learn what to eat to boost their immunity and increase their chances of surviving the virus.

LO7: Recognize and consider the ethics of choices and actions-

I think this CAS experience helmed me as well because I learnt a lot about what to eat during the pandemic. I also hope I was able to help others too by sharing the knowledge I had.
