There were a lot of things that I always wanted to do, One of the things was Dance. This year our grade organised Farewell for our seniors as it was their last year, in which I chose to be in a dance group. Volunteering in the Dance group helped me improve my dance skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LO1-Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As I wasn’t a dancer so there were few steps that were difficult for me but slowly and gradually I was able to improve. I was good at expressing myself and I wasn’t shy to perform in front of an audience which was my strength which helped me a lot. Also as I am a sports person so I never had a problem of stamina which helped me practice and improve my steps more than others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LO2-Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There were a few challenges that I faced while dancing. So the major challenge was as I wasn’t a dancer so it was hard for me to match my steps with the others and sometimes the dance was fast and sometimes was slow which was a very confusing thing which I managed doing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LO3-Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was difficult for me, in the beginning, to match the pace with others. I made a plan which includes steps, repetitions and time, which I followed in my home which helped me a lot in learning the steps as I was practising extra and was working on my weaknesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LO4-Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was very hard for me to wake up early in the morning as we had to come to school early for practise but due to the commitment I made to others and to myself I never missed a single class which shows how committed I was.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LO5-Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Working together helped us a lot as everyone was considering different points of views and were giving their suggestions which helped us as a team to see our dance from different perspectives and to work upon it. Because of the Farewell, working in a team was a new skill that I learnt and am very proud of.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conclusion<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now I feel more confident about dancing and This event helped me a lot to know myself better as I never thought I’ll be able to dance well. Also, the event taught me how important it is to plan things and to work as a team. This was an event which I’ll cherish forever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
